Topic summaries for all 45 tracks of the Language Transfer *Introduction to Italian* course, grouped into 5 thematic parts (the same grouping used for the vocabulary CSVs in this folder). Track 1 is the course introduction and teaches no Italian.

# Part 1 · Cognates & first verbs (Tracks 1–9)

## Track 1 – Introduction & how to use the course
Overview of the "thinking method": pause and build each sentence yourself, don't memorize, don't write anything down, think slowly to learn quickly. No Italian taught yet.

## Track 2 – -al → -ale cognates; è vs e; vowels
Latin **-al** words become Italian by adding **-e** → **-ale** (normale, generale, legale, illegale, globale). Italian vowels are pure and consistent. **è** = is / it is / he is / she is (smiley open "eh") vs **e** = and. **non è** = it is not.

## Track 3 – reale/leale; -mente = -ly
**reale** (real/royal), **ré** (king, il ré), **leale** (loyal). The adverb suffix **-mente** = "-ly" and drops the noun's final -e (realmente, globalmente). **normalmente** = normally / usually.

## Track 4 – -ible/-able → -ibile/-abile

Object pronouns can attach to the infinitive (dropping its -e): **cancellarlo** (to cancel it). **mi** (me/myself): prepararmi = "to get ready". **preparare**, **conformare** (con = with).

## Track 8 – Pronoun placement; creare, complicare
